During a special art gallery in Los Angeles featuring Yakuza Series Producer Daisuke Sato-san and Tattoo Artist Horitomo-san, it was announced that SEGA will be bringing Yakuza Kiwami 2 to the west. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the second Yakuza title released back in 2006. Although Kiwami 2 was released in Japan in December of 2017 the title will be making it’s way to the west on August 28th with a gorgeous ‘Steelbook Edition’ as well.
Set a year after the events of the original game, Kazama Kiryu finds himself once again caught up in an all out war between gangs, this time, with the Omi alliance. The game includes a brand new campaign called “The Truth of Goro Majima” where players will be able to play as Majima himself as you uncover how he became a construction business tycoon just before Yakuza 2. The game features the Dragon Engine which was used in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life which features remade graphics.
