It’s been 12 years since the release of Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra on the PlayStation 2 and since developer Monolith Soft would go on to be acquired by Nintendo the fate of the series has been up in the air. Sure we’ve seen the occasional inclusion of Kos-Mos and Telos in various games like Project X Zone and Super Robot Taisen OG on the Nintendo 3DS it wasn’t until her inclusion in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that many fans and hoping this could lead to a release of a Xenosaga Remastered collection.
Bandai Namco Entertainment recently filed a trademark for “Also Sprach Zarathustra,” which adds some speculation that a remaster is possibly in the works.
Back in 2003, Bandai Namco Entertainment (known simply as Namco at the time) released Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht on the PlayStation 2. Developed by Monolith Soft, the company would go one to release Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse in 2005 and Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra in 2006.
As a longtime fan of the Xenosaga series, I honestly would love to replay all three Xenosaga games with improved graphics and who knows maybe Bandai Namco Entertainment could also include Xenosaga 1 & 2 which was released only in Japan on the Nintendo DS.
