Patrick Stewart has joined the cast of writer-director Jeremy Saulnier’s crime thriller “Green Room.” Sir Patrick will star alongside Anton Yelchin (Chekov in the “Star Trek” reboot films,) Imogen Poots (“Fright Night”) and Alia Shawkat (“Night Moves.”)

“Green Room” follows a young punk rock band who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence and fighting for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads intent on eliminating all witnesses.
Old Baldy will portray, Darcy Banker, the unflinching and industrial leader of a ferocious white supremacist group based in the Pacific Northwest.
“Green Room” is filming in and around Portland, Oregon with plans to release the feature sometime next year. The film stars Imogen Poots, Anton Yelchin, Patrick Stewart, Callum Turner, Macon Blair, Eric Edelstein, Kai Lennox and Cody Burns (rumored.) Broad Green Pictures is financing the film and producing with filmscience, whose Anish Savjani and Neil Kopp are producing with BGP’s Victor Moyers. Gabriel and Daniel Hammond of Broad Green Pictures will executive produce with Vincent Savino of filmscience. Jeremy Saulnier (“Blue Ruin”) writes and directs.
