A fan-favorite is coming back to the X-men films.
Director Bryan Singer announced on Instagram that actor Kodi Smit-Mcphee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) will play a younger version of Nightcrawler in X-men: Apocalypse.
Kodi Smit-Mcphee joins Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassebender, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Oscar Isaac.
Nightcrawler was played perfectly by Alan Cumming in 2003’s X2: X-Men United and has not been seen since in the X-men franchise.
