Gundam fans can now get a first look at the latest episode in the Sunrise’s adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam the ORIGIN. The sixth episode is confirmed by Sunrise to be the final episode of the series and concludes the events leading to up the One Year War in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. Yoshizaki Yasuhiko, the creator of the original manga, will also be the chief director for the final OVA adaptation.
Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin VI: Rise of the Red Comet takes place right after the end of Part V in the climatic battle of the Battle of Loum where Char finally makes a name for himself as the infamous “Red Comet”. This youtube preview starts with a recap of the previous episode and drops the viewer right into the epic battle between the Earth Federation forces and the Principality of Zeon.
Rise of the Red Comet debuts officially on May 5th in Japan.
