Disney and Lucasfilm are set to release one Star Wars film a year and personally, I love that idea. There is no such thing as Star Wars overload in my book. After all how many times have we watch the original trilogy without getting bored?
One of the films set to be released in 2018 is a ‘Han Solo’ stand alone movie. Although not many details are known about the project, what we do know is that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing, Lawrence and Jon Kasdan are working on the script, and filming is expected to starts in January 2017. We also know that the movie will feature a young Han Solo. One of the most important tasks will be finding an actor that can replace Harrison Ford’s iconic performance.
As the search for Captian Solo begins, thousands of actors have auditioned for the part according to THR. Among the actors who have read in person or auditioned via videotape are:
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Godzilla)Ansel Elgort (Divergent, The Fault In Our Stars)
Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Neighbors)
Miles Teller (Whiplash, Fantastic Four)
Nick Robinson (Jurassic World)
Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead)
Hunter Parrish (Weeds)
Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Short Term 12)
Landon Liboiron (Hemlock Grove)
Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl)
Tom Felton (Harry Potter)
Joshua Sasse (Galavant)
Colton Haynes (Arrow)
Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction)
Max Thieriot (Jumper, Bates Motel)
