With a generic release date of “sometime in 2013,” the recently wrapped $70 million action/thriller “The Tomb” starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger has officially been given a September 27th, 2013 theatrical release by production company Lionsgate.

Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He’s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.
“The Tomb” is planned for a September 27th, 2013 release. The film stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Caviezel, Vincent D’Onofrio, 50 Cent, Vinnie Jones, Sam Neill, Amy Ryan, Faran Tahir, James Rawlings, Matt Gerald, Jeff Chase, Caitriona Balfe, Steven Krueger, and Lydia Hull. The script was written by Miles Chapman (“Road House 2”) with a rewrite by Jason Keller (“Machine Gun Preacher,” “Mirror, Mirror.”) Swedish director Mikael Håfström (“The Rite,” “1408”) is helming the project.
