The next film in the Superman saga is SUPERGIRL, which finished filming a while ago, and is scheduled to be released next summer.
It stars Milly Alcock as Supergirl/Kara and Jason Momoa as Lobo. (And Superman is rumored to make an appearance)
But if you’re wondering when SUPERMAN will get a direct sequel of sorts, The answer is; sooner than you might think.
During a recent interview, Gunn said he has completed the treatment for his “Superman” follow-up and that he and his team are currently scheduling production. How’s that for not dragging your feet?
“We’re scheduling it now,” Gunn said. “I’m totally done with the treatment. My treatments are incredibly intense. They’re not regular treatments. They’re 60-page treatments with dialogue and everything. And so, now I’m just turning that into a script. We’re planning out when we’re going to shoot that. It’s going to be much sooner rather than later.”
