Activision officially announced today that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the next game in the franchise, but it isn’t Modern Warfare 4. In an interview with Variety Gaming, Infinity Ward co-studio head Dave Stohl said that he wants players to look at this installment with a fresh pair of eyes. In the trailer, Captain Price appeared, but it seems his voice actor has changed, implying that this is a new Captain Price and not the one from the Modern Warfare trilogy.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be releasing on October 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All platforms will feature cross-play, so PC players and console players can unite!
