The Last Stop in Yuma County Blu-ray Review: Stuck In the Middle of Yuma

The Last Stop in Yuma County was a cool single location thriller that came out earlier this year. A cast of colorful characters converge at a diner next door to a gas station awaiting a fuel truck. Two of the patrons are bank robbers who hold the diner hostage as more and more patrons arrive.

Without giving away spoilers, the film prolongs the tension for a really long time. Once it explodes there are lots of surprises even for this tried and true genre of thriller.

The Blu-ray includes an eight minute behind the scenes featurette with interviews and on set footage. Writer/director Francis Galluppi and producers share a lot of their problem solving which is part and parcel to independent filmmaking.

But the real extras are three complete audio commentaries. Galluppi is on all three, but he joins actors Jim Cummings and Jocelin Donahue, executive producer James Claeys, and cinematographer Mac Fisken so they all have different things to talk about. They also get new things out of Gallupi each time.
