With “Thor: The Dark World” climbing to the top of the movie chart, prospects look promising for director Alan Taylor to helm the fifth Terminator film. With negotiations in full swing, Paramount is on the hunt for actors to portray the coveted roles of Sarah and John Connor.
Actresses Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones,”) Brie Larson (“The Spectacular Now”) and Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) are in the running for the role of matriarch Sarah Connor, while Garrett Hedlund (“On the Road”) and Boyd Holbrook (“Jane Got a Gun”) are finalists for freedom fighter John Connor.
Who’s your favorite for the roles?
Here is the unsubstantiated storyline for the film.
The story will be set in the 1940s or early 1950s with Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a human sent back to protect Sarah Connor’s parents, before she was born, prompting Skynet to create future Terminators in Schwarzenegger’s likeness.
“Terminator 5” is looking at a July 1, 2015 release date. The film will star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier wrote the screenplay based on characters created by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd. Alan Taylor is in negotiations to direct.
