The Steve Miller Band had it right when they sang that time keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’ into the future. And this is especially true when it comes to one of the most courageous gang of juvenile super sleuths residing in 80s era Hawkins Indiana! Netflix has just released the trailer for the long-awaited third season of their hit coming of age horror series, Stranger Things! The trailer which features an assortment of classic throw-backs to the nostalgic Spielberg age of innocence also intelligently addresses the fact that although we the audience may not want to watch some of our favorite characters grow up and move on, time certainly has not stood still in the slightest. However, since the new season does take place during the summer, there are certain rights of passage that cannot be denied, such as the high-jinx of being a kid while you are still a kid, hanging out by a swimming pool and the introduction of one of the most groundbreaking phenomena of the 1980s, the shopping mall. Stranger Things S3 boasts a roster of returning fan favorite cast members including a few unfamiliar characters portrayed by some very well known faces, sure to add even more layers to the mystery surrounding the town that can’t seem to keep its big bad inter-dimensional doorways shut! The strangest things about Stranger Things would be a lot less strange without the inclusion of a bloodthirsty dimension jumping monster, and from the looks of it, there appears to be an upgraded Demogorgon 2.0 on the loose, adding yet another reason to fear the things that go bump in the night!
