A soon to be released book, Star Wars: Aftermath, begins to link the original Star Wars Trilogy with the next one that will be kicked off by The Force Awakens.
Aftermath is the beginning of a new publishing program called The Journey to The Force Awakens. The goal is to release about 20 books by this fall. Although most will be set after the events of Return of the Jedi some my not. The series promises to hint at the things to come in the movies and introduces new characters. Plus, according to StarWars.com, we will get a bit of explanation as to what happened to the original characters. Don’t expect to many details about the next films to be released, I bet the good stuff will be held back as a surprise for the movies.
Below we have an image of the cover and a synopsis of the book for you to look at.
The second Death Star has been destroyed. Rumours are flying that the Emperor and his enforcer, Darth Vader, are dead. A new government is forming to replace the Empire. But the galaxy is a big place, and the fallout of this cataclysm will affect different worlds in different ways. Does everyone accept the fall of Imperial rule? Has everyone even heard the life-altering news? What rushes in to fill the vacuum the Empire has left? And who will try to stop them?
