THR is reporting that Star Trek star Chris Pine is in talks to play Wonder Woman’s love interest, Steve Trevor, in the Wonder Woman film.
The report has no further details. What we can tell you is who exactly Steve Trevor is in the comic book world.
Steve Trevor first appeared in All-Star Comics #8 (1941). He as an Air Force officer in World War II who crash landed on Paradise Island. Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman, healed him and she followed him to “Man’s World” where she developed her powers. Steve Trevor was in and out of the comics since then.
Trevor also appeared in the live-action Wonder Woman show in the mid 70’s, which starred Lynda Carter. Colonel Steve Trevor Jr. was played by Lyle Waggoner.
Wonder Woman is scheduled for June 27, 2017.
