During Sony’s CES 2020 press conference tonight, they shared some information on their successful PlayStation brand, as well as some glimpses into the future. They revealed that the PS4 has had 104 million total lifetime sales, and that PSVR has sold over 5 million units.
After that, it was time to talk briefly about their next console: PlayStation 5. Along with the reveal of the logo, Sony also clarified some features the PS5 will have. These being 3D audio sound, haptics and adaptive triggers, an ultra-high speed SSD, hardware-based ray tracing, and an Ultra HD Blu-Ray drive.
Sony has promised more details on the PS5 in the coming months. We know for sure that the console will launch this holiday season, with the only confirmed title being Godfall from Counterplay Games and Gearbox Software.
