My Thoughts

I give the Solo: A Star Wars Story Blu-ray a B.

My first thought while watching this film? Alden Ehrenreich did a great job at portraying Han Solo. Of course, he’s no Harrison Ford and never will replace him but, I felt that Ehrenreich pulled it off.

There were a few things I did like about this film.   First off, I don’t care what anyone says, I really liked Donald Glover as Lando. He was believable in his portrayal as a young Calrissian.  His mannerisms were on par to Billy Dee Williams portrayal of the character.  It was cool seeing how Han become the person we know from the original Star Wars.  It may have not been much to a hardcore fan but I am one of the few that didn’t know his backstory.  I also liked the scene where Han meets Chewbacca for the first time.  There were a few funny moments between the two.  I was a little disappointed when they revealed the identity of Enfys Nest.  I think everybody was expecting this bad to the bone creature from another planet but it ended up being (spoiler) a young girl behind the mask.
