It’s been 17 years since Shenmue 2 release so what’s waiting another year? At Gamescom, a new trailer for Shenmue 3 was revealed which revealed the new release date of August 27th, 2019.
Originally revealed back in 2015 during the Sony Press Conference, the Shenmue 3 Kickstater would go on to raise $6.3 million and while it was originally set for a release in late 2017, it would then be delayed to the first half of 2018 and then delayed to 2019. Until then you can enjoy relive the experience of the first two entries in the series as Sega released Shenmue I & II on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC just this week.
