South Korean mobile developer Netmarble has announced their first console game. Knights – Time Wanderer is a real-time, turn-based RPG that will be coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. Based off the of the popular mobile game, Time Wanderer focuses on Vanessa, the eighth member of the Seven Knights, equipped with a sentient hourglass known as Sandy. Throughout her journey home, she will encounter original characters from the Seven Knights’ mobile game who will join her as party members. This Switch game will not include any gacha system, as players will acquire in-game characters through actual progression.
Executive Producer at Netmarble Young Jae Park says “Since Seven Knights’ 2014 Korean launch, it’s been quite humbling and exciting to see the game grow in global popularity. We could not be more thrilled that Seven Knights – Time Wanderer – will be Netmarble’s first Nintendo game. The team can’t wait to share what makes Seven Knights – Time Wanderer – so special to a new audience, so we will work closely with Nintendo to ensure our first console game is exciting for Nintendo Switch gamers to play with.”
