Yesterday, Marvel Studios & Sony Pictures officially revealed the title of their next Spider-Man Film (Spider-Man: Homecoming) at CinemaCon in Las Vegas and today, they announced some possible casting news.
Variety has posted a story that Michael Keaton, who played Batman in the Tim Burton directed films (Batman & Batman Returns) is in early talks to play the villain in the upcoming Spider-Man film titled, Spider-man: Homecoming. No details on the role were provided but as rumors have it, he could be in talks to play Adrian Toomes AKA The Vulture. But these rumors have also been suggesting that the film could use more then one villain. He could possibly play the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s version of Norman Osborn, Mysterio, Scropion, or even J (but nothing has been confirmed yet). If Michael Keaton does come aboard, he’ll be joining a cast including: Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), and Zendaya (Michelle). Jon Watts (Clown & Cop Car) is set to direct the film with writers, John Francis Daley (Horrible Bosses & Vacation) and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Horrible Bosses & Vacation). Principal photography is set to start this summer.
