Actor and friend of Nuke the Fridge Robert Carradine was seriously injured in a head-on car accident last week in Colorado. Carradine shot to fame when he starred as Lewis Skolnick in the 1984 hit comedy film Revenge of the Nerds. He is the current co-host and producer of the hit TBS show King of the Nerds.

A police report states that Carradine crossed the center line and slammed into a semi-truck driving in the opposite direction. Both vehicles were estimated to be traveling at 60 miles an hour with a crash velocity of 120 mph.

Firefighters extricated the actor from the car along with his wife who was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Reports indicate that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the accident, but the actor was cited for careless driving. No news has been released on Carradine’s current medical condition.
