Mashing up genres seems to be the present mainstay. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, of course, is no different. Jane Austen’s classic is mixed with zombie horror from a novel written by Seth Grahame-Smith. Screen Gems has announced that the film is set for a February 19, 2016 release.
The movie was in development limbo for quite some time before it started production in September of 2014. Downton Abbey and Cinderella actress Lily James, Sam Riley (Maleficent) and Bella Heathcote will star as well as Game of Thrones alumni Charles Dance and Lena Headey.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will arrive in theaters on February 19, 2016. Natalie Portman, Brian Oliver, Sean McKittrick, Annette Savitch, Allison Shearmur and Tyler Thompson will produce, while Sue-Baden-Powell, Marc Butan, Phil Hunt, Compton Ross and Lauren Selig will serve as executive producers.
