During the large Pokemon press conference in Japan today, it was revealed that Pokemon Company plans to appease all demographics of fans with their 3 upcoming titles. Among the rumored 8th generation teased and Pokemon Lets Go, Pikachu and Eevee! is Pokemon Quest, a free to play Pokemon adventure for smart phones and Nintendo Switch. The game is an action adventure rpg developed by Game Freak that features the Pokemon you know and love from the Kanto region exploring a new area called Tumblecube Island, where everything is blocky and cubed.
In the game, you are able create a dream team of 3 Pokemon to take with you on adventures, befriending other Pokemon using items you find along the way. You are also able to use Power Stones that give you the ability to personalize your Pokemon more than ever, giving each Pokemon unique stats. Base customization is also in the game, letting you decorate and collect items for your own home away from home.
This new Pokémon title, developed by GAME FREAK, lets players explore the island of Tumblecube with their team of cute, cube-shaped characters known as Pokéxel,” said Shigeru Ohmori, director at GAME FREAK. “Players will be able to personalize their Pokémon and develop a strong bond with their Pokémon friends while battling their way through the adventure. With the simple touch-screen controls, Pokémon Quest is a game that Pokémon fans of all ages can pick up and play.
Pokemon Quest is currently available on the Nintendo Switch eshop with and Apple and Android release date coming in late June.
