My Thoughts

I give the Once Upon a Deadpool Blu-ray a B.

You were probably like me wondering what the difference between this film and Deadpool 2 were.  Maybe you were also thinking, can a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 work?  This film is basically the same.  It just cuts some of the violence out of it.

When you were watching this film, the scenes flowed smoothly but you knew something was missing.  I definitely like Deadpool 2 better but to have a family friendly version you can watch with your kids is golden.  But to be honest with you,  it still felt like this was on the verge of being Rated R.  They didn’t curse as much but there were a few words left behind.  I loved the addition of Fred Savage and the homage to The Princess Bride.  It was one of my favorite films when I was growing up so, to see the recreation of the bedroom in The Princess Bride was awesome with a twist, of course.

Catch Once Upon a Deadpool out on Blu-ray, DVD, & Digital January 15th!
