Nintendo Switch’s Online program has been delayed twice over the past year, but now it’s set in stone for a September release. Today, Nintendo revealed more details about their paid online service.

Beginning with the prices, along with the 1, 3, and 12 month memberships, a new family membership option has been priced at $34.99 USD. This will allow a Nintendo Account holder to add up to 7 other members to use the service and everything it comes with.

One of the features Nintendo Switch Online offers are cloud saves, something Switch owners have been asking for since Day 1. Now you’ll be able to upload save data to a cloud server, keeping it safe in case your console breaks. However, the biggest feature is arguably the collection of NES titles. There will be 20 available at launch, though so far only 10 have been announced:

  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Donkey Kong
  • Ice Climber
  • Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Dr. Mario
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Balloon Fight

The NES games will also have multiplayer modes both online and local.  More games will be added over a period of time, so let’s hope they expand the library to SNES, Nintendo 64, and maybe even GameCube!
