It’s not unusual for companies to file trademarks for some of their intellectual properties, earlier this year we saw Nintendo file a trademark for the Nintendo 64 controller which lead to speculation that the company would be announcing the N64 Classic but that didn’t end up happening. Of course, while the N64 Classic might not be happening right now, we could see it announced as early as next year and that would be pretty awesome.
Nintendo Life recently discovered that Nintendo has filed two more trademarks for Wii titles, Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Other M. While again, this currently doesn’t mean anything it has lead people to believe that we may see both games on the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Super Mario Galaxy on the Switch, it would be nice if Nintendo released both games together in some kind of digital bundle or physical cart if they do but Metroid Other M, well, to be honest, I actually don’t care to play this title again. Would I do hope is that Nintendo does announce Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch, especially with Metroid Prime 4 coming either in 2019 or 2020 and I’d love to play through all three games again especially on my Nintendo Switch.
