After taking on roles in numerous action films, actor and strongman Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s upcoming movie Maggie will return the former California governor to the horror genre, his fourth. The role of a loving father is not new for Schwarzenegger, but he tones down his bravado by tackling a part that focuses on emotion and heart. Check out the new poster!
The film will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month and tells the story of a Midwest teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) who becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father (Schwarzenegger) stays by her side.
Maggie will open in theaters on May 8th through Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin, Joely Richardson, Laura Cayouette, Denise Williamson, Raeden Greer, Christine Tonry, J.D.
