MLP_FIM_AOTCMC_3D Box ArtAvailable tomorrow (Feb.24) on dvd from Hasbro Studios is “My Little Pony-Friendship is Magic: Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.” (Say that five times fast). Now I have to confess something to all of the Bronies and Pegasisters out there, I have never seen an episode of “My Little Pony” until now. Don’t worry though, I had a little help from my sister who is a My Little Pony fan and she helped me understand what exactly was going on like what exactly a “Cutie Mark” is. So here is the review…

“My Little Pony-Friendship is Magic: Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders” includes five episodes: The Cutie Mark Chronicles, The Cutie Pox, Flight to the Finish, Pinkie Pride, and Twilight Time. Though the title of the dvd is “Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders,” only four out of the five episodes are centered around the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom). The episode “Pinkie Pie” is centered on Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich.

Now if you don’t know what a “Cutie Mark” is, this collection will help you understand what it is. The comparison that I used was that a cutie mark is to a pony as what an “X-gene” is to an X-men. The cutie mark on their leg shows the unique ability each pony, pegasus and unicorn has. The first episode “The Cutie Mark Chronicles,” shows the origins of how Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and others, got their Cutie Marks, so there are plenty of characters for you to enjoy.

With all five episodes, the dvd runs about 110 minutes long. The bonus features for the dvd include a sing-a-long and some digital coloring sheets and wallpapers which you can download.

My sister seemed to like the dvd and I’m sure My Little Pony fans would like it as well, especially fans who particularly love the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
