ULRICH THOMSEN, from The Blacklist, has been tapped to recur in the HBO/MAX and DC Studios series LANTERNS as DC supervillain SINESTRO.
The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
Sinestro is a former Green Lantern who turned rogue and is described as ruthless yet undeniably charming.
Descriptions of the show suggest that Jordan and Stewart are investigating a murder on earth, not space. So how does Sinestro factor into this? We will have to wait and see. But! Perhaps Sinestro is responsible somehow. James Gunn hinted that the big bad of Lanterns might tie into the larger DCU. Could it be Sinestro?
