It’s that time of year; well it will be in a month or so, when Halloween hits Long Beach, California. I’m here to pass on a message updating fans about the Long Beach Comic & Horror Con from show creators and promoters Martha Donato and Phil Lawrence.
Hey there,
Things are really heating up here at Long Beach Comic & Horror Con HQ! Tickets are on sale now at many southern California comic book shops, or use the “BUY TICKETS” link on their website at www.longbeachcomiccon.com. We have an exciting Marvel comic FREE to the first 500 people who purchase their weekend pass, so don’t wait!
With our friends at Long Beach Cinematheque, we are hoping to break the record for the largest Zombie Walk EVER! You can get more information on this terrifying event at www.lbc.org.
Be prepared for tons of entertainment this year – play laser tag versus your favorite Star Wars character! Listen to live entertainment on the exhibit floor that will run all day long, and did we mention The Guild stars Felicia Day and Sean Becker will be hosting a panel on Saturday afternoon?
Have you signed up yet for our Masquerade Ball? Please remember, you’ll need to register your costume by sending all the details to: masquerade@longbeachcomiccon.com. It’s going to be a blast! We’ve got a $100 prize from Heroic Publishing for anyone who dresses up as one of their characters for starters!
We are also really excited about our Gaming Tournaments, which are being run by Cascade Games. We’ll have Magic: The Gathering and World of Warcraft tournaments happening all weekend, courtesy of Wizards of the Coast and Cryptozoic.
There are lots of things to do and see, and remember kids under ten are FREE! Bring the kids in their Halloween costumes on Sunday for some trick or treating on the exhibit floor!
We hope to see you all in Long Beach Con 2011 !
