While we were hoping that characters like Banjo-Kazooie, Isaac from Golden Sun, and Geno from Super Mario RPG would finally make their debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the start of this morning’s Nintendo Direct revealed the game will include 74 characters at launch with the final two characters revealed as Ken and Incineroar.
Ken is an Echo Fighter, Ryu’s Echo Fighter to be exact so many of his moves and animations will be similar to Ryu. This iteration of Ken’s moveset is based on Super Street Fighter II, he will be slightly faster than Ryu, include unique animation and attacks including his Tatsumaki Senpukyaku will hit opponents multiple times, and like Ryu he will have two Final Smashes, Shinryuken and Shippu Jinraikyaku.
Finally, we have Incineroar the final evolution of Litten. A powerful Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon, Incineroar is armed with some powerful wrestling moves and poses after each successful attack which can be instantly canceled into his next attack not giving opponents to take advantage of his showmanship.
Incineroar is armed with some powerful moves like Darkest Lariat, Cross Chop, Revenge, and a special attack where he sends his opponent in a set of ropes where he can follow up with either a back body drop or lariat depending on your timing. His Final Smash is Max Malicious Moonsault, based on his Z-Move.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate release on December 7th!
