Words such as colorful, cheesy, bizarre, grotesque, raw, uncomfortable, brutal, and carnival-like have been used to describe Rob Zombie’s “House of a 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects.”  The Firefly family has joined the ranks of Norman Bates and Leatherface to become synonymous with horror film history.  On Saturday February 26th, experience The Firefly Family in person.  Nuke the Fridge and Frank and Son Collectible Show are hosting three actors from these hit cult films.

Sid Haig – He portrayed Captain Spaulding from the infamous Firefly Family in both Rob Zombie films.  Sid has had a career in show business that spans over 40 years.  He has acted in over 50 films and performed in over 350 episodic television shows.  Haig is an accomplished drummer and a certified hypnotherapist.

Bill Moseley – Starring as the righteous and murderous Otis B. Driftwood in “House of a Thousand Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects,” Moseley has had a rich and diverse acting career, which spans almost 30 years.  His first big role was in another horror film as Chop Top in Tobe Hooper’s “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2” in 1986.  Bill is a singer who has released records with guitarist Buckethead, in the band Cornbugs.

Irwin Keyes – In “House of a Thousand Corpses” Keyes plays Ravelli, Captain Spaulding’s giant, but silent, assistant at the “Museum of the Strange.”  He facilitates the murder tour by pushing the guests in a car through the attraction.  Keyes was originally considered for the part of Freddy Krueger in “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”  He has appeared in over 50 films and television shows.

And, we have one more guest who is a real fan favorite.  Writer Steve Niles will join us at Frank and Son to sign autographs and promote his original work.

Steve Niles – Many things can be written about Steve Niles, but he is largely credited with bringing horror comics back to prominence.  In 2004-05, Niles formed a joint venture production company, Creep International, with 90’s rocker and film director Rob Zombie.  They have produced two titles to date.  Niles also wrote the screenplay for “30 Days of Night,” which has been developed into a major motion picture, with Sam Raimi as producer.  The sequel “30 Days of Night: Dark Days” is currently in the works.

Both Louis Love & Namtar, from NUKE THE FRIDGE dot com, will also be in attendance.

The “House of a 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects” mini-reunion is coming to the Frank and Son Collectible Show on Saturday, February 26th, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Frank and Son Collectible Show is located at 19649 San Jose Avenue, City of Industry, California 91748.
