PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive no longer, as Head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst confirmed in an interview with PlayStation Blog that Guerrilla Games’s open-world adventure would be coming to PC in Summer 2020.
This version is the Complete Edition, coming with The Frozen Wilds Expansion among other DLC packs. Even though other PlayStation exclusive titles have made and are making their way to PC such as Detroit: Become Human and Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn will be the first Sony-developed PS4 exclusive to come to PC.
Does this mean Sony will port EVERY one of their exclusives to PC? Hulst doesn’t believe so.
And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.
It would be nice to play God of War (2018) on PC. The Steam page for Horizon Zero Dawn is up now.
