“Hellraiser” Remake Being Pitched

Namtar here…

Clive Barker’s novella “The Hellbound Heart” was an erotic and painful look at the selfishness and lust of the human soul. In 1987, the story was turned into a film entitled “Hellraiser.” From that first film, a legion of fans was born. Eight more films followed over the next 24 years, ending with the terrible low budget direct-to-video failure “Hellraiser: Revelations” in 2011. This version was created so that the company holding the rights (The Weinsteins) could retain the license. Unfortunately, “Hellraiser: Revelations” killed any chance for any further installments.

Now, artist Paul Gerrard and director Mike Le Han have teamed up to produce a teaser trailer for their version of a “Hellraiser” reboot, and plan on pitching it to the studio in hopes of having it made. They have released some concept art for fans to see their vision of what the new film will look like. This is pretty amazing stuff. It has an “Alien”-esque feel to it. What are the possibilities? Tell us what you think!

“What’s your pleasure, sir?”
