Rumors of who the lead male role would be for the highly anticipated Jurassic World first started with Josh Brolin, then that rumor was called off. Next there were rumors circulating that Chris Pratt (who will be playing Star Lord in the upcoming Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy) was up for the role. Well Chris Pratt has confirmed that he WILL be in Jurassic World.
While promoting his most recent film The Lego Movie, the actor was asked about his role in Jurassic World. Pratt confirmed that he will be in the film by saying this:
“For me, Jurassic Park was really kind of my Star Wars. I lined up at the theatre to see it, I saw it opening night, I saw every sequel, I’ve seen it a whole bunch of times… for me that was my big movie, I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out. And so it’s a big deal for me to be any part of that, let alone this part I’m going to be playing. I’m thrilled about it.”
Chris Pratt has been getting a lot of buzz around Hollywood lately. Known for his role as the quirky Andy on Parks & Recks, Pratt has been acquiring some more serious type roles. He’s been in movies like Moneyball, Her, & Guardians of the Galaxy which is his biggest role so far. (Not including Jurassic World).
The release date as of now for Jurassic World is June 12, 2015.
