The Mortal Kombat reboot film has been talked about for years and it has just been that, without any real steps moving forward but one report changes that. One site called The Tracking Board claims that Aquaman director, James Wan, is in place to produce the reboot film based on the popular video game franchise.
The site does not say where the news comes from but mentions that Mortal Kombat: Legacy‘s Oren Uziel and TheExpendables writer Dave Callaham, are penning the script which “centers around a seemingly harmless guy who realizes his potential when he finds himself caught in the middle of a cross-dimensional battle between the warriors of Earth and the monsters of Outworld. Now, in order to stop the world from total destruction, he must win the martial arts tournament known as ‘Mortal Kombat’.”
The reboot is apparently underway at New Line and Broken Road.
