My Thoughts

I give the Friday the 13th: 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Blu-ray a B.

I absolutely love horror films and I was super excited to dig into this Blu-ray.  I know there’s an on-going debate between people who love Michael Myers and people who love Jason.  Wouldn’t that make a great film?  I know we already have Freddy vs Jason but I think many of us would love to see Jason duke it out with his other masked counterpart.  But unfortunately, that’s for another review (If it comes to reality).

These films are pretty much all the same but there’s something about Jason.  Maybe it’s his uncanny ability to catch up to a running victim or maybe it’s his backstory, Could it be his mother?  Whatever it maybe I always come back and watch these films over and over again.  Of course, these terrified me more as a child but as an adult, I can’t get enough of them.

The one thing I’m sure long time fans are looking forward to is the special features.  I know I enjoyed watching them.  There is no other experience as watching a film and hearing the Director comment about the various scenes in the film.

The packaging was a little disappointing but it’s definitely worth diving into.

Catch Friday the 13th: 40th Anniversary Limited Edition out on Blu-ray June 16th!
