First Image From ‘Wonder Woman’ Released

With some of the early reports for Batman v Superman coming in already and fans ares rating that probably one of the better parts of the film was Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Now EW has released the first promotional image from her stand alone film.

The image includes a trio of woman that help raise Diana, her mother Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), General Antiope (Robin Wright), and Lieutenant Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli). During an interview with EW, director Patty Jenkins revealed that Diana was the only child on the Island and the three woman had different ways of raising her.

“To me, they shouldn’t be dressed in armor like men, it should be different. It should be authentic and real—and appealing to women.”

She went on to talk about Wonder Woman herself:

“I, as a woman, want Wonder Woman to be hot as hell, fight badass, and look great at the same time—the same way men want Superman to have huge pecs and an impractically big body. That makes them feel like the hero they want to be. And my hero, in my head, has really long legs.”

The film also stars Chris Pine, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis.
