Website Dark Horizons landed this exclusive first look at the international poster for Screen Gems’ “Carrie.” The poster features actress Chloë Grace Moretz (“Kick-Ass,” “Dark Shadows”) as Carrie White. Her facial expression depicts shock as she is intermittently covered in dripping blood. What destruction can Carrie cause with her newly awakened power?
Here’s the storyline for the film.
Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz) is a lonely and awkward teen who is constantly bullied at school by her peers, and beaten at home at the hands of her religious mother (Julianne Moore.) But Carrie has a secret: She’s been blessed with the terrifying power of telekinesis; and when her peers decide to pull a prank on her at prom, they’ll soon learn a deadly lesson: When you mess with fire, you will get burned.
The remake of the horror/drama “Carrie” will open in theaters on March 15th, 2013. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, Alex Russell, Michelle Nolden, Max Topplin, Cynthia Preston, Connor Price, Zoë Belkin, Samantha Weinstein, Ansel Elgort, Skyler Wexler, and Kim Roberts. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wrote the screenplay based on the novel by acclaimed horror writer Stephen King. Kimberly Peirce (“Boys Don’t Cry,” “Stop-Loss”) directs.
