DISNEY+ will be exiting the TARDIS. And will no longer be involved with Doctor Who.
They partnered with the BBC on the past two seasons, and will still release the upcoming spin-off titled The War Between The Land and the Sea. Which will air in 2026. But then they are done with The Doctor. Undoubtably due to low viewership.
But here’s the good news for Doctor Who fans… The BBC just confirmed that the show will continue and will return with a Christmas special in 2026 penned by showrunner Russell T. Davies. And that Details of future seasons will be announced in due course.
BBC drama director Lindsay Salt thanked Disney for “being terrific global partners and collaborators over the past two seasons, and for the upcoming The War Between the Land and the Sea.”
