When James Gunn was asked if THE BATMAN 2 has been canceled, this is what he had to say…
“Of course not. If it was canceled it would be canceled. Who has time for charades?” He further emphasized his long-standing support for director Matt Reeves, saying, “I’ve been one of Matt’s biggest cheerleaders for years – since Cloverfield and the Apes movies.” Gunn confirmed that DC Studios is “eagerly awaiting” Reeves’ script for the sequel.
So don’t expect any movement on the project until that script gets the green light from DC Studios… Which can happen sooner or later, depending on when Matt Reeves finishes it. But in the meantime, Robert Pattinson is eyeing other projects.
