Dark Souls Trilogy coming to Xbox One, PS4

Bandai Namco has announced a bundle of the entire Dark Souls trilogy, releasing October 19th for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The bundle includes all three games – including the upcoming Dark Souls: Remastered – bundled in a steelbook case. The trilogy also includes all DLC for each game. It will cost $80 USD.

Unfortunately, this is as close as we’ll get to the Japanese-exclusive Dark Souls Trilogy Box. That bundle released last May, and it included themed shelf bookends, exclusive artwork, and CDs of all three soundtracks. But considering that bundle costs about $369 USD before shipping, this is a steal.

Even more unfortunate is that this release coincides with the release of Dark Souls: Remastered on the Nintendo Switch. Dark Souls fans – and Nintendo fans, especially – might feel betrayed that the other consoles are getting all three titles while the Switch gets one. This might mean the Switch could receive ports of Dark Souls II and III, or it could mean Bandai Namco is testing the waters before they commit to more ports. Either way, hold off on praising the sun for a while.

Physical copies will be limited, so preorder at your discretion.
