According to the Associated Press, the director for films such as “Superman Returns” and the “X-men” franchise, Bryan Singer has been accused of sexual abusing a teenage boy in 1999. Singer is named in the lawsuit that was filed Wednesday. The accuser Michael Egan claims that when he was 17, Singer gave him drugs & alcohol, flew him to Hawaii and forced him into giving Singer oral sex on more than one occasion. Egan also claimed that he was forced to have sex with adult men at parties notorious for Hollywood’s entertainment industry, after being promised a role in one of the “X-men” films. Singer’s attorney Marty Singer (no relation to the director) said in a statement that “claims are absurd and defamatory.” Marty Singer also went on by saying: “It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan’s new movie is about to open in a few weeks.” X-men: Days of Future Past is due to be out next month. I’m guessing IF these claims are true, that it will have an effect on partaking in future films. As of now, these are just allegations.
