It’s now official! Academy Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper will provide the voice for the genetically and mechanically altered procyon Rocket Raccoon. He will join actors Chris Pratt (Peter Quill,) Zoë Saldaña (Gamora) and Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) in a film which follows a team of unlikely heroes, who are trying to save the galaxy.
Voted as People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ in 2011, Cooper’s star has been rising since he hit it big in 2009’s “The Hangover.” He has gone on to star in “Silver Linings Playbook,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar®, “Limitless,” “Place Beyond the Pines” and two follow-up “Hangover” features. He will next star in director David O. Russell’s “American Hustle,” which opens on Christmas Day. “Guardians of the Galaxy” will mark Cooper’s first voiceover work.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” is scheduled for an August 1, 2014 release. The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoë Saldaña, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Rooker, John C. Reilly, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Glenn Close, Dave Bautista, Ophelia Lovibond and Enzo Cilenti. Chris McCoy, Nicole Perlman, and James Gunn wrote the screenplay based on the Marvel comic book by the same name originally created by Gene Colan, Arnold Drake, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning.
