Assassin’s Creed DLC to Come as a Standalone Game 2/18/14

Cry Freedom!

Ever sell off your game only to wish you hadn’t because there’s DLC you might actually want to play for it? I’m guilty of it just like some gamers out there. One thing I wish more developers did was put out their DLC as an inexpensive stand alone. Why not? It’s a chance for a small piece of revenue and the content has already been developed.

I say all this because the popular DLC from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Freedom Cry is being released as a stand alone for the major consoles (Sony, Microsoft). In Freedom Cry, you assume the role of Adéwalé, a former slave rescued by pirates and trained in the ways of the assassin. After finding himself stranded in what is now known as Haiti, Adéwalé joins the battle for freedom in support of a slave rebellion… but how will he balance his newfound cause against his obligations to the Assassin Order?

The game will be priced at $14.99 and will be available February 18, 2014. Call of Duty I hope you read this and put out Extinction as a standalone game. End my suffering of looking at Ghosts overcomplicated multiplayer mode.
