Production is in full swing on the Ash Vs. Evil Dead pilot with franchise legend Sam Raimi directing. Approaching horror in his style is far from tame. The highly successful director is known for shedding lots of blood in his horror films and the continuation of Ash Williams’ story promises to be equally sanguinary. Williams played by self-proclaimed “B” movie actor Bruce Campbell was seen at the end of the 2013 Evil Dead film, which will tie into the new Starz series. In the spirit of the film, the actor released an image from the set of his portable blood kit on Twitter.
Portable blood kit – feared and revered on the #AshVsEvilDead set.
Known for using different color blood in the Evil Dead films, Raimi will continue the trend as this can be evidenced in the photo. Bright red to dark green to dark red are clearly visible along with some other kind of goop and gore in the image. In another tweet, Campbell promises to put in an appearance at this year’s San Diego’s Comic-Con. He also stated that he will bring a special treat! Now check out the official teaser trailer for the Starz original series!
Here is the storyline for the series.
30 years after the events of Evil Dead, Ash is a loner, living a dull existence, still not able to come to grips with the events that started at the cabin. In the event of a deadite invasion Ash must attach his chainsaw and pick up his trusty boomstick one more time, all while finally coming to terms with his past.
