Over the weekend big developments we’re announced for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins video game. It was revealed at New York Comic Con that one of the eight assassins Batman will face is the Electocutioner. No word on if he’s going to be the unnamed version of the character or the Lester Buchinsky iteration that came later in the comics. Electrocutioner is the latest additions to the assassins we already know in the game which include; Bane, Deathstroke, Firefly, and Copperhead. What the incorporation of this latest assassin also means to the game is a change in part of Arkham Origins gameplay canvas.
As we talked about during E3, one of Batman’s newest gadgets were the shock gauntlets he used to beat up on a gang of thugs. We now know that as Batman defeats each assassin he will gain new weapons from them. It’s similar to the Mega Man style of game play. Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release on multiple platforms on October 25, 2013.
Also announced was a new mobile game by Netherrealm studios, by the division who worked on the Injustice mobile game. The game will be on iOS first and come to Android shortly after. Just like the Injustice mobile game, this new game simply titled Batman: Arkham Origins Mobile will also let players unlock assets for the console version of the game and vice versa.
