Archie to Come to an End

Archie, the comic book based on an everyday, middle America teenager and his friends will be ending its comic book run this summer. Archie is the longest-running monthly comic book having its own title since the winter of 1942. Not to worry, the character along with the rest of the Riverdale gang will get a modern-day makeover with the help of Eisner Award winners Mark Waid and Fiona Staples.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, they have released the covers and the solicitation text for the first issue of the re-imagined series to ComicBook.com. Here is a look at some of the variants from artists Colleen Coover, Joe Eisma, Sanford Greene, Mike Norton and Moritat.
