Ginger haired actress Judy Greer (“Archer”) has been cast in Universal Pictures’ upcoming 3D sci-fi dinosaur adventure “Jurassic World.” No details have been released on the role she will portray. As of late, Greer has been cast in a string of high-profile science fiction features such as Jason Reitman’s “Pale Blue Dot” a.k.a. “Men, Women & Children,” Matt Reeves’ “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland.” Actresses Katie McGrath (“Merlin”) and Lauren Lapkus (“Orange is the New Black”) also join the film’s cast.
“Jurassic World” is scheduled to be released in 3D on June 12, 2015. The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, B.D. Wong, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Ty Simpkins. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver wrote an early version of the screenplay, while Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly wrote the current screenplay based on characters created by Michael Crichton. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing, while Universal executives Peter Cramer and Sara Scott will oversee the project for the studio.
