Aaron Pierre took to Instagram to comment on landing the role of John Stewart in Lanterns. The series revolves around two human Green Lanterns, Stewart and Hal Jordan, trying to unravel a mystery on their home planet. Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) will star as Jordan opposite Pierre.

The 8-episode series is slated to be in production between January and June of 2025 in Atlanta. And Peter Safran, the co-head of the DCU alongside James Gunn, said that Lanterns will be “a huge HBO-quality event” similar to True Detective.
Now, I’ll believe that when I see it. Though Pierre’s casting does give me High Hopes.
