Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi blockbuster “Dune: Part Two” snagged 5 Academy Award Nominations; including best picture, production design, sound, cinematography and visual effects. But NOT best director, or any acting nominations. Which some are calling a snub-a-dub-dub. Since Dune: Part One got twice as many nominations in 2022.
But I say, “ that was then, and this is now. Be grateful for what you got.” Because some big movies didn’t get nominated at all… So Dune: Part One got 10 nominations and you only got 5… Smile! That’s show business!
